Lawn Care Tips - Watering
To gauge watering, simply place an empty cup 2 mtrs (6ft) away from the sprinkler. |
When there is 25mm (1in) of water in the cup, it is time to move the sprinkler to the next area. Timing the move will limit wastage for future watering. |
Reflected heat along buildings dries turf quickly, be sure to water such areas more often. Keep Sub-soil moist until root system is established, then thoroughly soak once a week or as per weather conditions. |
Do not walk on watered areas. |
Weather conditions dictate the amount and frequency of watering. Be certain that your new lawn has enough moisture to survive hot, dry, or windy periods. Up to 10 hours per day may be necessary in extreme conditions. For years to come, your investment on soil preparations will yield a high return. |
