Turf Varieties

Turf varieties include Sir Walter, Shade Master Buffalo, Couch, Kikuyu and Lady Jane all grown on our 100-acre property. The turf is irrigated, fertilised and manicured throughout the year. As well, new varieties are being developed and trialed (eg. Zoysia) to offer a better range of grasses in the future.

Sir Walter Lawn Turf Grass Sir Walter
Sir Walter turf has superior colour retention and fungus resistance compared with other varieties that are commercially available and will stay green in winter in most areas provided it is fertilised well in autumn and not mown too low prior to winter.
Shademaster Buffalo Shademaster Buffalo
Shademaster Buffalo is a variety of Soft Leaf Buffalo that has a broad and long coarse leaf. It is good in high traffic as it is a very fast grower.
Kikuyu Turf

Kikuyu
The Kikuyu variety of lawn has a vigorous growth. Its complexion is made up of a broad coarse leaf and is of a broad runner style. Kikuyu will not tolerate shade or excessive dampness.

Couch Turf

Couch
Couch is a dark and very dense lawn with a small leaf with very few seedheads. Needs to be mowed between 7 - 14 days. Will tolerate low mowing and most sprays.

Lady Jane Synthetic Turf Lady Jane
It's hard to replicate the pure, natural feel of a natural turf surface underfoot, however in isolated cases where even Australia’s toughest turf can’t be grown, we finally have the answer.
